LEGO @ Funland

LEGO!!!! Haha!!! This is probably one of the most coolest stuff that has ever been invented by man. It's most boy's dream, well, mine too when I was a boy and now too...!!! These are my friend, Andrew's collections. Was my first time to his house, I was utterly lost of words when I saw these LEGO!!! At first, I was a bit hesitant to bring my E-PL1 out to shoot at them. After a long struggle to fight off the embarrassment, I took out my E-PL1, fixed on the Pentax CCTV 25mm f1.4 lens and fired off... "Click, click, click..."

Part of his collections include LEGO Town, Police Station, Star Wars and Pirate Ship, and there are so much more in his house, he is really a true LEGO fan. Was indeed a childhood dream come true, I can't describe how much fun it was to capture all these LEGO with my camera. Cheers!!! Long Live LEGO!!!

Macro&CCTV Lens@Flowers

This photo was taken with Pentax CCTV Lens 25mm f1.4, I was really impressed by the aftermath rolling out on my camera LCD. This small little lens gave 3D look on the photos that I had taken with it and a film look when I used it on street photography. Clear definition on the images was simply irresistible for me.

Macro photography was one of the interesting techniques that interest me so much since I started off with film cameras. Bringing out interesting macro images to share with people was never off my photography work list.

Raynox DCR 250 Macro lens was used in this shot and I had read a lot of review for this lens, it was simply a snap on macro lens easy to use but the images that it produced was excellent.
These two lens were worth the buy and the prices were reasonable. Was very satisfied by the performances of the two lens and they fit perfectly well on my Olympus E-PL1. The two lens are now the reasons in my photography gears list and leaving them out is simply not possible.

Night Photography @ Esplanade

First night shoot using my Olympus E-PL1, though was a 2-3 hour session, the experience was like a child in a candy shop. There was so much to explore on the camera, interesting city view and so many techniques to try. To say, it was really fun and interesting that night. Caught this shot using M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 telephoto lens.
Across the other side of the busy central business district, lies the Marina Bay Sands, took this photo too using M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6. Found the colour rather appealing and really amazed by what this small little camera (E-PL1) can do. Well at least, I didn't have to burden myself with the gears as the lens are light weight.
Using M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75 - 300mm F4.8 - 6.7, a super telephoto zoom lens, I took this photo across the river where I was shooting the Central Business District and Marina Bay Sands. Was very amazed by the clarity the lens could produce from a distance so far. The Merlion, a icon of Singapore was captured without much sweat.

Sunset @ Changi

This is my first post through this blog. These picture was taken @Changi Beach Club, Singapore, approx. 1/2 hour before sunset on Sept 2011. Was quite a sunny day and the sky was partially cloudy. I took several shots of this sunset with my Olympus E-PL1, using ND, GND filter and switched the White Balance mode to about 3000K with tripod. The lens used was M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-150mm f4.0-5.6, a powerful micro 4/3 telephoto lens.
Opportunity suddenly came as I was wondering around the walkway along the beach @ Changi. Happened to see this fisherman on a piece of rock waiting patiently for his catch to arrive. Naturally, I took up my E-PL1 and started shooting. It turned out to be quite a story after I reviewed the photo on my PC. M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 9-18mm f4.0-5.6, wide angle lens was used in this photo bringing an 100 degree of view. Honestly, I have a lot of feel for this shot... What about you?
I was struggling with rocky beach as I approached this cliff rock @ Changi Beach. Was warned by a fisherman not to drop my gears into the sea as someone dropped it last week. Tried a few shots and found this one to be a better one. Took this photo with M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 9-18mm f4.0-5.6, wide angle lens with ND filters. Partial cleared sky with exaggerated view of the cliff rock, gave me peaceful feel for this photo.
